What Is EEZY KEYZ?
EEZY KEYZ is an end-to-end email encryption software that protects send email from being compromised by a third party and ensures that it is only read by the intended recipient.
It is a product of IPRA Technologies Ltd., which is a Finnish Company based in Lappeenranta, Finland. The company, therefore, operates under the jurisdiction of Finland and the European Union.
How Does EEZY KEYZ Work?
EEZY KEYZ uses end-to-end email encryption, which is a way of improving the security of your email data and protecting your privacy. For you to use it, you have to download the software, either to your phone, tablet or computer.
Both the sender and the recipient should have the software. Otherwise, you won’t be able to send an encrypted message to a person who can’t decrypt.
EZY KEYZ encryption process, key management and key distribution are fully automated. When both of you have the software, emails and attachments are automatically encrypted. For the receiver to view the message, they will just open the message like normal unencrypted email. The software automatically decrypts and displays the message in a readable format.
Sending a message is no different from sending an ordinary mail, as the software handles the encryption part, not you.
When the user decrypts and reads it, the message goes back to the encrypted format, unless the user chooses to save it in the unencrypted format. This is in order to increase security in case of device loss.
Product Pricing & Plans
Free Subscription Offer
EEZY KEYZ started its operation in January 2017 and is currently offering a free one-year subscription to the first 10,000 users who download the software. This is definitely a great opportunity to jump onto and be among the lucky subscribers.
Free One Month Trial
As for the paid plan, one thing that we liked is that they offer a free one month trial. During this time you can enjoy the full services, not just limited features.
It is after this trial period that you can then easily upgrade to the paid plan. If you do not upgrade to the paid plan, you can still use EEZY KEYZ to receive encrypted emails. The only thing you won’t be able to do is to send an encrypted message.
1 Year Subscription
The subscription runs up to 1 year, and it costs €19.90, which is about $21.62 subject to rate fluctuations. Finland users are eligible to a 4% tax rate, which brings the total charges to €24.68.
The company will increase the payment options in near future by adding PayPal, Bitcoin and bank transfer options.
EEZY KEYZ is only connected to your email address, and not a particular device.
This, therefore, means that when you make a subscription, you can use it on as many devices as you want, as long as it’s the same email address.
This will mean that you send secure and private email messages from wherever you are. However, this is only limited to the supported platforms.
At the time of this EEZY KEYZ review, the software can only be used on:
- Android mobile phones
- iOS mobile phones
- Windows Computers
Mac is not currently supported, but it may become supported sooner or later.
Running the software on Android requires you to have Android 5.0 or newer operating systems.
For the iPhones and iPad tablets, you need to have iOS 9.0 or a newer operating system.
Windows users can use the service if they are operating Windows 7 or 10.
Only MS Outlook 2010 and 2013 are currently supported, but the service is still diversifying.
As for the mobile phones and tablets running Android, EEZY KEYZ supports:
- Exchange protocols
For iOS devices, EEZY KEYZ supports:
- Exchange protocols
While doing this EEZY KEYZ Review, we included a security check where we did some competitor analysis based on security.
During this security check, we found that out of all email security service providers, EEZY KEYZ are the only email security providers that truly offer private and secure end-to-end email encryption.
All other competitors have some aspects in their services operational logic which raise privacy & security related concerns for the user. Some of them transmit and store email or they even manage the encryption. Some even do both!
The latter means that they hold and have access to the private key. Having access to the keys means that not only is it possible for them to view encrypted content, but this also creates a backdoor for hackers and other parties to exploit.
One other thing that made EEZY KEYZ stand out is that they also encrypt email metadata, something we could not identify with many other providers.
EEZY KEYZ uses the strongest encryption with widely used and time-tested AES & RSA algorithms (session & identity based multi-key combination from symmetric and asymmetric keys 3×256 BIT AES + 1×3072 BIT RSA).
EEZY KEYZ supports:
Their Cross-Platform applications also have Exchange support which is very rare among other service providers.
Getting Started On EEZY KEYZ
For the purpose of this review, we tried using the Outlook Plug-in of EEZY KEYZ, but at the time of this writing, it was not available in English.
Their customer support was, however, responsive and informed us that the plug-in was meant to automatically choose a language depending on the language of the user’s computer, but it somehow malfunctioned. They also informed us that they would release the update of Outlook plug-ins in a few weeks and those would be in English by default.
The Android app was however in English by default, and it’s what we used for this review.
Getting Started On Android
Using EEZY KEYZ on your Android mobile phone or tablet is pretty easy. The application is available on Google Play Store, and it’s free to download.
After the installation, you can just launch it.
The next step will require you to select a protocol. There are two options available:
- IMAP4 protocol
- Exchange Protocol
IMAP, like POP, is an email protocol, a method for sending and receiving emails, while MS Exchange is more like an email client, or server.
For your email, you can choose IMAP4.
You will then be required to provide your email address and Password
After this, it’s when you will feed in your Email Encryption Key.
It’s important to use a key that you can remember, but that at the same time is secure enough to deter hackers.
If you happen to forget the key, there is no way it can be recovered.
This is because EEZY KEYZ doesn’t keep data of this sort, and therefore only you can know your own key.
After this step, you can accept the terms and conditions, and off you go.
The client app looks more like the average Email client, and so you shouldn’t have a problem using it.
The only difference comes in the sending options, where you can choose to encrypt a message. Encryption is on by default but if you wish to send your message unencrypted simply untick the ‘Encrypt Message’ check box.
Once you click send the system will handle the rest.
REMEMBER: you cannot send an encrypted message to a person who doesn’t have EEZY KEYZ.
EEZY KEYZ Pros & Cons

Verdict On EEZY KEYZ Secure Email Service
EEZY KEYZ is an excellent end-to-end email encryption service and offers a secure way of send emails, while at the same time providing a high standard of privacy.
It uses a strong multi-key end-to-end process, carried out automatically and totally independent from any email service provider.
When you add this to the simple interface that it offers, this one is definitely a thumbs up from us.
